I love visiting Cherrywood once in a while to either work from home or read a book since it's so cozy! They have both indoor and outdoor seating too. I like that they have coffee and other drinks, but they also have a pretty extensive breakfast lunch and dinner menu and everything is pretty tasty. The pastries are also delicious! I would say the service could maybe be improved a little bit but it might just be because I went on an off day! Overall, definitely recommend checking out.
Love this place to gather and study, have some coffee or wine and relax. Super cute place, a little cold and unfortunately the outlets are extremely loose...do not expect to successfully charge anything in those outlets lol. But they make up for it in the abundance of seating and menu options and very sweet staff!
Great music on the patio Had their biscuit buttered and toasted and it was amazing!!!! Breakfast served all day. Catch the Ryan Morris band when you can and enjoy delicious food on the patio!!
This is one of those homey local spots that you just have to try Spend an afternoon with a book or get some work done on your laptop -- they have an outside patio and live performances on Sundays too. Coffee is delicious but the real winner is the food! They have a super hearty Terra Taco which is bursting with flavor, loaded with protein and just hits the spot. Eggs, marinated tofu, avocado and topped with shoestring potatoes, come on!! Also have pastries and cake slices for purchase which are a bit pricey as compared to food which is great in value. Staff is super friendly and always serves you well! Overall, would recommend any day!
Really inclusive, kind folks here at cherrywood. Tried the breakfast omelettes, salsa and chips, wine and coffee and everything is great including their service ! They have WiFi and good atmosphere where people are nice and it feels good to be here !
A gem of a place to work at, catch up with friends or go on a solo date! I've been here a couple of times and there is always ample seating and a lovely atmosphere, they've got a wonderful patio with loads of seating which is perfect in this great weather. I've gotten their fish sandwich which was huge, a little pricey and I may try to get their breakfast stuff/tacos next time. Their coffee though was at a good price range and I paid around 6 usd for a small Cuban con leche that I'm STILL thinking about. It was made perfectly with the right amount of sweetness that made it a treat but still tasted like coffee and not a shake. Parking has been okay for me since there is a shared parking lot but I can imagine that can get full sometimes.
The food: best queso and chips I have had in a long time, delicious chocolate muffins, and a refreshing hibiscus mint tea. The vibe: Keep Austin Weird pre-tech boom. They are not looking to impress you with instagramable moments or matching furniture. Lots of hodgepodge art from local artists on display. This feels like a place I could work from leisurely all day and no one would bat an eye. Love their devotion to sustainability. When you purchase an iced tea from them, you get two free refills which seems like something small but it really is appreciated and makes you feel welcome to hang out for a bit. Can't wait to spend a leisurely morning with them soon, hopefully in their outdoor area which looked inviting.
Cherrywood is now a new favorite coffee shop of mine when it comes to coffee shops in Austin, along with Thunderbird! I came here with two friends for brunch on a Saturday. Their coffee selection is extremely long, and they offer any syrup you may desire. I ended up getting a strawberry latte, but couldn't detect much strawberry flavor. For my meal, I got the sweet potato hash which came surrounded by onion, garlic, and peppers, all of which was topped by two poached eggs (I chose poached, eggs can be prepared how you like) and hollandaise sauce. Probably the best brunch meal I've hand in a lonnnnng while! They have a large outdoor area and they had a live band too! Parking is also ample and spacious. Highly recommend CC as your next brunch spot!
